Daylilies - Compatible Zones / Planting
Zones: Suggest zones 3-9 for most daylilies. This encompasses most of the continental US. If you live in an area that does NOT get freezing weather in the winter (like zones 9 and 10), dormant varieties won’t work for you; choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.
Height & spread: Foliage heights range from less than 1 foot to over 3 feet tall. Flower scapes can be less than 1 foot to 6 feet tall, with most are 2 to 4 feet.
Exposure: Full sun suggested for best blooms but we find they tolerate some light shade. At least 6 hours/day of sunlight is suggested.
